HBA KANSAS CITY AND HBA MIDWEST REGION PRESENTS

The Myth of Self-Care During a Pandemic

Please note this webinar will take place from 7-8 PM CST. Please convert into your local time zone and mark your calendar accordingly.

Navigating the work/life balance for most professionals is often an elusive and frustrating task. For most of us, we end up hustling harder, doing more in every area of our lives to try and make all the parts equal and at the end of the day end up more exhausted. Often our efforts of trying to “take time for ourselves” can be more stress inducing than work itself. In this workshop we will explore proven concepts and effective methods that provide rest and build resilience - not simply adding more to the “to do” list.

Merritt Benz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the owner of the Bedford Therapy Group with 20+ years of experience working with children and families. She is a graduate of the Child Study Center at Yale University School of Medicine and Rutgers University. Merritt is a Certified Daring Way Facilitator. The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown and focuses on shame resilience skills and developing daily practices that transform the way we live, love, parent, and lead.
