In this educational event Shelley explains the process for developing the message/update. Participants prepare his/her own update and then participate in group skill practice.  Shelley facilitates as audience members volunteer to deliver his/her update to the group. Shelley leads the group discussion and provides feedback to the presenters. Those who do not volunteer to present participate by identifying strengths and ways to improve. This is an extremely valuable exercise for presenters and observers. Please come to the event with a business topic that would require a 2-minute update.

Please note that this event is part of a series of three events happening in September, October and November. You can register for an individual event or you can purchase the series of all three! The October event will cover “Diversity & Innovation”-How to build a culture of diversity and inclusion and develop a diverse workforce for the future. Our November event we will discuss “Non-verbal Communication & Body Language”.

Strong communication skills can help you in both your personal and professional life. While verbal and written communication skills are important, research has shown that nonverbal behaviors make up a large percentage of our daily interpersonal communication.
