HBA COLUMBUS PRESENTS

Rescheduled: Best Practices for Gender Equity: A World Café Event

Please note: This event was originally scheduled for 13 November 2019 and has been rescheduled for 12 February 2020.

The past year has seen an explosion of interest in, and discussion about, gender equity. It could be argued that we are more aware of this than at any prior time in our history. But awareness alone isn’t enough. For real change to occur, individuals and organizations will need to behave differently. Most organizations have policies and guidelines regarding equitable treatment for women, yet real advancement, real salary equity, and real accountability for our stated goals, often remains elusive.

So how do we begin to create real action? We have invited healthcare leaders to facilitate conversation utilizing the World Café format, a methodology that drives solutions through conversational leadership. The focus of the conversation will be action and how it gets measured. This event is positioned to add to what we learned at the 2nd annual “LIFT Symposium: Leveraging the Impact of Female Talent” held in July2019, and will set the stage for the 2020 event.

Special instructions(e.g., parking information): You may park anywhere in the parking garage, even the “Reserved” spaces. Take the elevators to the 12th floor. Upon check-in at the event a pass will be provided that allows exit from the parking garage free of charge.
