HBA London Chapter Book Club

Zoom / Virtual
Monday, November 15, 2021 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM   Add to Calendar GMT Standard Time

With life gradually returning to some pre-COVID normality, you may be forgiven for focussing on your social life more than on reading a good book. However, you may be missing out, as reading has a significant number of benefits, such as mental stimulation, stress reduction, learning and acquiring knowledge, improving focus and concentration as well as helping to develop stronger analytical thinking skills. And you could gain even more if you discuss what you read with likeminded bookworms! So – given that the nights are drawing in, why not combine snuggling up with a good book AND socialising? The purpose of our book club is to bring our members together to learn about and discuss topics that matter to them, encouraging critical thinking and deeper engagement through exchanging views on and debating the contents of the chosen book. Our book club is open to all, and you can join in as it suits you – every session is self-contained and there is no obligation to attend all of them. Our next session will take place via webinar on Monday, 15 November 2021 @ 6pm GMT – and the book we will be discussing is ‘Factfulness’ by Hans Rosling (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Factfulness-Reasons-Wrong-Things-Better/dp/147363749X/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1632744747&sr=8-1). You can sign up via the usual process for HBA events. We look forward to discussing with you!
