HBA PHILADELPHIA SUBURBS PRESENTS

What Is It Costing You Not to Listen? Transform How You Listen to Change Your Life

IMPORTANT: The Healthcare Businesswomen's Association (HBA) requires that all persons who participate in in-person events do so at their own risk and that each participant agrees to the following agreement prior to taking part in the activity and urges all participants to act in such a manner as to protect their own safety and the safety of others.

By registering for this event, I fully understand that my participation in the program is purely voluntary. I desire to participate and agree to act in a reasonable and prudent manner under the circumstances. I further understand that any HBA volunteers participating in the activity will be acting in an individual capacity only and will not represent the HBA. As a condition to my participation in the activity, I waive and release the HBA and their officers, employees, and agents from any claim that I may have for any damage to property or injury to my person that may result in whole or in part from my participation.

Listening is a critical business and life skill, but little time and resources are spent actually teaching us how to listen. Instead, we are taught how to tell, to know, and to speak, when listening is the communication skill we really need. With the inability to listen at the core of so many of the problems we face, maximizing our listening skills enables us to be amazing communicators, strong leaders, and present friends and family members.

Join the HBA Suburban Delaware Valley Chapter and sponsor Deerfield Agency for an interactive and engaging workshop with listening expert Christine Miles on how to transform the way we listen in our personal and professionals lives to connect more deeply and have a larger impact on the world around us.

In this live in-person event, Christine will interact with attendees to dig deeper, answer questions, share hypotheticals, and explore the ways we can begin to listen differently in our lives.

Participants will walk away from this dynamic workshop with a deeper understanding of the value of listening, how to listen to truly understand, and cultivate cultures of empathy and understanding. Specifically, participants will learn to:
• Discover why even good listeners fail
• Identify the enemy of listening and the different listening personas
• Understand the impact of listening on results and successes
• Transform how they listen in personal and professional settings
• Apply the 6 most powerful questions to listen differently

Christine is an author, professional keynote speaker, consultant, executive coach, and listening expert with 25+ years of experience training individuals and organizations on how to build emotional intelligence to drive better outcomes. She is the author of “What is it Costing You Not to Listen? The Power of Understanding to Connect, Influence, Solve & Sell”. Christine founded EQuipt, a training and consulting company, and is the developer of The Listening Path™, a game-changing approach to transform how people listen, empathize, and understand that has been taught at Fortune 100 corporations, universities, law firms, and privately-held companies. Her speaking philosophy is to use humor, to entertain, and engage audiences with passion and stories proven to help people and businesses achieve extraordinary results.

Deerfield is a full-service healthcare agency and solutions provider that helps small to mid-sized companies in the life sciences industry do “more with less” through a unique blend of marketing, tech, and analytics.  Our proprietary Agency of Brand model allows us to compliment existing agency partners
for some clients while serving as a full AOR for others.  For Strategic as well as tactical initiatives, Deerfield eliminates unnecessary layers and costly retainers, and employs a philosophy of only putting the “experts in the room” as needed.

Our recent acquisition of Verge Scientific Communications gives us a sister agency with deep expertise in corporate branding and scientific storytelling. Verge has quickly become a leading boutique agency for newer companies, including biotech startups, early-stage biotech and pharma companies, as well as health tech and consumer science brands.”
