HBA SUISSE ROMANDE PRESENTS

Making the transition to industry: Interpreting job descriptions

This event originally scheduled for 30 April 2020 has been rescheduled for 29 October 2020. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Are you looking to make the next step in your career? Do job descriptions for open positions intimidate or confuse you? Would you like to understand what recruiters really want? This HBA event brings together the academic and corporate industries to look at how candidates can best position themselves by showing you where you have applicable skills and experience that may not appear to be immediately obvious. We will help you to interpret common requirements and build your confidence to apply for that role you may have been hesitating about.

This workshop will be particularly useful for those looking to transition from academia to industry, but all local professionals will find it motivating to bring along their CVs to push themselves for that future opportunity. We also encourage managers to attend to better understand how they can position their job openings and invite a larger, more diverse pool of applications.
