HBA SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA PRESENTS

HB8 Supper Club - Table Talk with Beatrice Lavery

In celebration of International Women's Day, we present this series of table talks on topics of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Join one or more of these small group events for an intimate discussion on current event topics with leaders across different organizations.

A change agent is an individual who has the capacity and foresight to spot problems and opportunities, envision and describe a better future, and act and inspire others to implement solutions within the workplace. Change agents have the ability to alter the deeply held beliefs of others simply by being authentic. They can transform teams, departments, offices, and entire workplaces .Join Beatrice Lavery, VP, Global Oncology Regulatory Head at Roche, in a thought provoking discussion on how to lead as an agent of change.

Beatrice (Bea) Lavery is the Vice President, Global Head of Oncology Regulatory.

Originally from Canada, Bea received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Calgary, specializing in Microbiology and Infectious Disease research. Bea joined Genentech, a member of the Roche Group, in February 2001 in the Research organization and focused on late-stage research for chronic Immunological diseases. In 2005, Bea transferred to Regulatory group, and has been in leadership roles with increasing portfolio and management accountability across products and indications, focusing on Oncology clinical development at all stages of clinical development.

From 2016 to 2020, Bea served as the Director of the Genentech Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowship in collaboration with Rutgers University across all Genentech functions. In 2017, Bea was named the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) “Rising Star” for Genentech.
