Shideh Sedgh Bina is a founding partner of Insigniam and the Editor-in-Chief of IQ Insigniam Quarterly®. Responsible for the firm’s business development and marketing, Shideh has over thirty years of experience in management and consulting. She possesses expertise in working with CEOs and other C-suite executives to generate and execute enterprise-wide transformation in an array of industries, such as health care delivery, life-sciences, retail, media, and fast-moving consumer goods. Shideh is the Chair for the Global Board of Directors for the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association, an organization dedicated to advancing women in leadership in health care. PharmaVOICE named Shideh one of the 100 Most Inspiring People in Life-Sciences in 2016, and in 2014 the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association named her Woman of the Year. She has been a speaker at numerous executive conferences for Fortune 500 companies and she was an adjunct faculty member at St. Joseph’s University’s Haub School of Business. She has authored dozens of articles and her work has been featured in Fortune and Reuters. Shideh is a Trustee of the Committee for Economic Development—a nonprofit, nonpartisan, business-led, public policy organization—and a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors. In 1990, Shideh co-founded High Performance Consulting, which merged with the Rosenberg Group in 2005 to create Insigniam. Prior to her work in management consulting, Shideh conceived, owned, and managed a profitable upscale retail business before selling it to her employees. She then led and managed the New England region for an international training and development firm. She holds a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Julie Ross is president of Advanced Clinical, a full service, global outsourcing solutions provider to the clinical research industry. She is a tenured executive leader and has been instrumental in the development and success of multiple sales and clinical operations divisions. Previously, Julie served as senior vice president, global strategic services for a $2B, top five CRO and had oversight of eight global functional areas focused on innovative methods for reducing the time and cost within clinical trials inclusive of feasibility, patient recruitment and retention. Prior to that, she was a corporate officer and EVP of a full-service CRO and patient recruitment company. Julie has over 25 years of clinical research experience, has participated in fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, authored many clinical research articles and is a well-known industry speaker. She is a change management expert who has successfully led multiple company integrations, implemented a variety of cutting edge technologies and platforms, and served six years as board president for a nonprofit community group where she navigated a headquarter change twice and raised money through angel investors. Personally, Julie is a wife, a mom to four grown children and practices servant leadership. Julie is a 2014 and 2016 recipient of PharmaVOICE’s Top 100 Most Inspiring People and is currently serving as a director at large on the HBA board. Julie is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse with a bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine technology.

Zoe is a strategic leader in healthcare consulting, marketing and communications, who is motivated to connect ideas, and people, to drive positive change. Specializing in the development of purpose-driven business strategies, narratives and brands, as well as multi-sector behavior change programs, her business leadership approach seeks to tap into people’s passions to uncover, express and deliver measurable value for organizations and the world. She joined Concentric Health Experience two years ago, following several cross-functional leadership roles in consultancies and agencies. At CHX she leads the development of Global corporate and product strategic plans, brands, communications and services for biopharma companies tackling some of the world’s most challenging health and social problems. A lifelong champion of the power of individual difference bought together, inspired by a family of strong women, Zoe served as Treasurer of HBA Region Europe, and continues to provide strategic counsel to the region. She is also an active member of environmental and animal charities as she is interested in all ways in which humans can improve their impact for health and the good of the world. She received a first-class honors Bachelor of Science in biotechnology from Murdoch University, Australia, and her PhD from Imperial College London, UK.

Jacquelyn is a senior leader with over 20 years of commercial, operations, and human resources experience. She has a passion for developing talent, and creating strategies to accomplish business objectives. She has lead transformational change by creating a strategic vision, managing a cross-functional team to develop long-term sustainable performance. She joined Genentech, Inc. (a member of the Roche Group) in April 2020 as the Healthcare Executive Director within the Customer Engagement division. She was previously in numerous leadership roles (US and global) at GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals for 20 years. A champion of diversity and inclusion, Jacquelyn served as the US HR sponsor for the US I&D strategy at GlaxoSmithKline. She also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Triangle (NC), and a member of Jack and Jill of America. She received her undergraduate degree in Journalism/Communications from the University of Georgia (Athens) and her Masters in Human Resources from Villanova University. She is originally from Atlanta, GA, and currently resides in North Carolina with her husband and daughters (13 and 11 years).

Anita has over 23 years’ experience of leadership in the pharmaceutical industry in a wide variety of roles. She joined the industry as a pioneer in the field of Health Economics for Burroughs Wellcome and moved to New Jersey in 2001 to lead Global Health Economics and Outcomes Research for Aventis in CNS and Internal Medicine. Following the Sanofi merger in 2004 she moved to Paris to head Global Pricing and Reimbursement for launch products and then was promoted to Head, Global Health Economics and Pricing. On her return to the USA she led Aubagio, the oral MS therapy through submission and approval in over 30 markets worldwide and was responsible for the strategic commercial execution on the Sanofi diabetes portfolio. As the principal of Anita Burrell Consulting LLC, Anita helps companies understand market dynamics and payer behaviour, design Big Data platforms, develop predictive models to inform health technology assessment submissions, and understand the implications of digital health and possibilities to use behavioural economics. Anita is the Chair of the Global Committee Council for the HBA which coordinates the strategy for volunteer led efforts in functional areas and across member value offerings such as Affinity Groups and Programs. She also leads the Key Project for the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) Digital Health Special Interest Group, which seeks to explore and categorize definitions of digital health which exist in the literature and in practice. Anita holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Stirling, a MA in Economics from Dalhousie University, and an MBA from Kingston University.

Adam is the Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer at Bristol-Myers Squibb. He oversees the company’s Compliance and Ethics organization, including the Centers of Expertise for Communication, Education, Procedural Documents and the Ombudsman; Monitoring and Analytics; Investigations and the Integrity Line; and Third-Party Due Diligence. Adam is a member of the Company’s Leadership Team and Law Department Senior Leadership Team. Before joining Bristol-Myers Squibb, Adam was a Partner at Sedgwick, Detert, Moran & Arnold, a products liability law firm in New York City. Adam joined Bristol-Myers Squibb in 1999 as counsel to the U.S., Pharmaceuticals Group’s Oncology, Virology and, subsequently, the Immunoscience divisions. In 2007, Adam moved to Singapore to serve as lead counsel for Asia Pacific and Japan. In 2009, Adam became lead counsel for Europe, Middle East and Africa based in Paris, France. He remained in that role for 3 ½ years before returning to the U.S., to begin a new function within the Company, Global and Corporate Policy. Adam continued in the Global and Corporate Policy role for 2 years before he was appointed counsel for the Intercontinental Region, and then as Head of Legal for the European Markets, Australia and Canada (EMAC) Region. Adam then served as the Head of the Research and Development Law Department before becoming the Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer in June 2018. Adam served as the Co-Chair of the Engaging Men work steam within the Bristol-Myers Squibb’s Network of Women (B-NOW) for 3 years. During his tenure as Co-Chair, male enrollment in B-NOW grew from under 50 male allies to over 1000. He also created workshops for male allies to help them serve as advocates and champions for the development and advancement of women. Adam currently is an advisor to B-NOW and was elected to serve on the Board of the HBA. Adam holds a Juris Doctor degree from Fordham Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University.

Liz Paulson has over 25 years of varied experience in healthcare as a provider, a sales and marketing executive, and in the clinical research sector. Currently Ms. Paulson serves as a Account Executive at LexisNexis Healthcare. She works with claims data to develop commercial strategies for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies and is the chair of the Women’s Connected group for King of Prussia. Prior to joining LexisNexis, Liz worked in the development of new product offerings, marketing and sales at Adheris an inVentiv Health company. Liz has also worked in Health Economics and Outcomes Research at i3 Innouvs (now Optum), Pharmetrics, and IMS. Prior to her work in Health Economics, she worked in sales for Eli Lilly. Prior to working in the Pharmaceutical and Biotech sector, she worked within the Departments of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities in Massachusetts, providing behavioral consulting and emergency services to patients. In addition, she worked to develop medication training programs across both DMH and DDS, to foster patient compliance, and reduce hospitalizations. Ms. Paulson holds a B.A. in Psychology from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. She has been a member of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Boston Chapter since 2004, volunteering on the membership and programs committee, and has held all positions on the Executive Committee for the Boston Chapter and is currently serving her second year on the HBA corporate board as the lead for the regional councils and all chapter and affiliate executive teams. In her free time she coaches girls soccer and basketball.

Erik D. Smith, Ph.D. is a Principal with Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy Practice. For over 15 years, he’s worked across health care, including manufacturers, payers, providers and others in the space – both in the US and around the world. The majority of Erik’s work has focused on the commercial side of bio-pharma, covering corporate, BU, franchise, product and country levels, across numerous therapeutic areas, asset and product stages. Erik has delivered new strategies and tested those already in use, for clients at all levels, including Boards. He’s launched innovation initiatives, and updated risk management programs. Erik brings particular expertise in understanding uncertainty, both for long-term strategy and for short-term tactics. He’s an advanced user of scenario planning and other simulation approaches, has published on the subject, and taught training courses. With HBA, Erik has served on the Advisory Board of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter, and more recently on the Advisory Board for the West Region as well as the Strategic Alliances Committee for the Board. Erik holds both a Ph.D. in demography and an M.A. in socio-cultural anthropology from University of California. Berkeley, and a B.A. in political science, with minors in social ecology and philosophy, from UC Irvine.

Jhaymee Tynan, based in Washington, D.C., is an active member of Egon Zehnder’s global Health Services, Public and Social Sector, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion practices. She is a trusted advisor to clients across the health, pharmaceutical, and life sciences sectors, helping them master complex leadership challenges while tapping the potential of diversity and inclusion. Before joining Egon Zehnder, Jhaymee was an Assistant Vice President at Atrium Health in Charlotte, North Carolina, with responsibilities that included large-scale post-merger integration. Earlier, she held a management role at Deloitte Consulting in Washington, D.C. focusing on business model transformation for the federal health system. Jhaymee earned an MS in project management from George Washington University, a BS in finance from Virginia Tech, and an MBA in general management from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. She is also board-certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and belongs to its nominating committee. Alongside her consulting work, Jhaymee serves on a number of boards, including the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA), the American Hospital Association’s Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development, the National Association of Health Services Executives, Women in Healthcare (WiH), and Philanos. She has also founded 100x2030™, a global career initiative devoted to increasing sponsorship of women of color in healthcare.
