HBA is pleased to welcome International mentoring expert Lois Zachary, EdD to this conversation. The author of several best-selling books, Dr. Zachary’s lessons for you in this Career Conversation will define and describe starter, smarter and sleeper goals so that you understand how your goals can help you achieve and grow in 2014. She will also teach us about probing questions to start the goal conversation between mentors and mentees. We will also discuss how to build accountability into the mentoring relationship so that we grow in capability, competence and confidence this year.

Joining Lois in this discussion is Kevin Rigby, US country head of public affairs and vice president of public affairs, Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation. In 2013, Kevin was named HBA Honorable Mentor, an award that recognizes one individual each year who demonstrates long-term support for the advancement of women in the healthcare industry, has a personal dedication to developing, mentoring and promoting women in the industry, and has been supportive of the HBA’s goals.

Moderating the conversation is HBA's 2008 STAR Award recipient, Anne Camille Talley. Anne Camille has served as author/co-author on all four HBA studies of the advancement of women in healthcare, including the HBA E.D.G.E. Study. At her consultancy, Health Leaders, she focuses on professional development programs that help advance careers and strengthen personal impact. A frequent speaker on career and leadership topics, Anne Camille led a workshop on critical success factors for advancement at the 2013 HBA Leadership Conference.
