HBA OLD METRO AREA PRESENTS

Resilience as a Success Factor for Your Career

Event details
As a widely acknowledged indicator of success in business and in life, resilience has become a hot topic in disciplines ranging from management consulting to clinical psychology. What role does resilience play in our success in business and in life? How do we evaluate and understand resilience? How can we, as adults, continue developing this critical life skill? How can we help develop it in others, build it into our teams and our companies?

Join a panel of business leaders as they share their perspectives on the importance of resilience and talk about how resilience has played a role in their careers and personal development, enabling them to leverage challenges as stepping stones to a next level of understanding and success. Gain insights into how resilience is being developed and supported in organizations today.

And don't miss contributing to our professional clothing drive! One of the most-cited ways to rise above your own challenges is to help others.  In this spirit, as part of our evening focusing on resilience, HBA and Pfizer are hosting a professional clothing drive to benefit the Save-A-Suit Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides veterans and new college graduates with professional business attire and the confidence to succeed. Please help us help those in need by donating lightly-used suits, accessories and other business attire.

Learning objectives
1.  Understand how resilience can help drive success for individuals and organizations.
2.  Identify attitudes and practices that increase resilience.
3.  Glean strategies to help your colleagues, teams, and even your company to be more resilient.
