InspiHER in Science - An HBA Celebration of Women and Girls in STEM
HBA members and non-members will be able to sign up to this networking event and “bring along” an under-18 to meet inspiring women working in Science and Technology, and also be an inspiration. The girls will gain insight into what it’s really like having a career in science. The boys will be able to project themselves as allies and champions. They will be able to unravel their curiosity by questioning a diverse set of speakers, and even establish connections with the potential for a future shadow experience or informational interview. By presenting a number of role models, the boys and girls will see themselves represented in the science industry. What’s more, the event will be held in English.
Learning Objectives
- Project themselves in a STEM career of the future and establish connections (for girls)
- Project themselves as allies and champions of future women STEM leaders (for boys)
- Share success and act as role models for future STEM leaders (for adults)
