HBA TAMPA PRESENTS

Build Your Body of Work: Turning Your Expertise Into a Professional Asset You Own

Every healthcare professional has hard-won expertise, but much of their knowledge stays behind when they change roles, organizations, or careers. Building a body of work that is grounded in your experience and unique perspective (not your employer’s messaging points) can increase your visibility, differentiate you as a candidate, and be a catalyst for building new relationships.

This workshop will give HBA members a practical framework for translating their knowledge, perspectives, and ideas into content that earns attention and builds trust. We'll work through a simple system to define your goals, identify your unique point of view, choose the right formats and channels ,and consistently connect with and engage an audience. The framework is rooted in the Expert-led Content approach, developed by Kristen Sweeney and Every Little Word, that has increased visibility for small business owners, technical subject matter experts, and CEOs.

The workshop will be a 60-minute interactive session. You’ll leave with an action plan and clear next steps for building a body of work that uses your knowledge and expertise to define your professional identity, regardless of your current job title.

Learning Objectives

  1. Define a professional content goal aligned with your career objectives.
  2. Identify a unique point of view based on your expertise and experience.
  3. Create a personalized action plan to build your professional visibility.
