HBA SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA PRESENTS

International Women’s Day 2021: Choosing to Lead

March 8th marks International Women’s Day, a global day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. This year's theme, #ChoosetoChallenge, pushes us to embark on challenges that question our thoughts and actions around gender bias and inequity with the goal that these will inspire innovation and reimagination. In an increasingly digital world, how can we make it inclusive, promoting women leaders in 2021 and beyond?

Together we choose to challenge by calling out the status quo and gender bias, letting go of old narratives, and choosing to step up into leadership. In these unmatched times, join us in a space for members and non-members to come together to discuss, share and energize one another in this time of great transition.

Carolyn Buck Luce, a prominent leader, and advocate for women in healthcare, is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Imaginal Labs and the recipient of the HBA 2012 Woman of the Year award. She is the author of Reimagining Healthcare: Through a Gender Lens and served on the NYC Commission on Women's Issues and on the board of the New York Women's Foundation. Carolyn is an organizational strategist and leadership coach who advocates for women in leadership to live their purpose, solidify their vision, and focus their power.

Our panel discussion will be moderated by Michael OBrien. Panelists include Julie Adrian.
