The healthcare landscape is undergoing unprecedented change; the sector must harness both the power of technology and data to provide better outcomes for patients and care providers. These changes mean that we are seeing new innovative partnerships in healthcare and new entrants to the healthcare market competing to commercialize new healthcare technology. The Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association has partnered with BUPA, University College London and Plextek to provide the fifth event in our successful technology series which aims to offer an education in the changing market place and an introduction to some of the technologies and initiatives taking place now.

Topics covered include:
• Current healthcare market and challenges/changes to that landscape
• Introduction to Global Institute for Digital Health Excellence (GLIDHE) Bupa’s exciting new collaboration marrying Bupa’s global health expertise with UCL’s world leading behaviour change and computer science capabilities
• How GLIDHE researches, creates, tests and evaluates innovative, commercially sustainable digital tools which aim promote healthier lifestyles - case study Bupa Quit (smartphone-based smoking cessation intervention)
• How organisations address the challenges of providing an evidence base for digital tools
