Description
With the expanding scale and diversity of healthcare-related data, healthcare business professionals – including specialists in marketing, PR, medical and professional communications, thought leadership, public policy, and even legal and regulatory affairs – are being challenged to understand and respond to the interests and concerns of patients, caregivers, healthcare providers and other stakeholders. Google faces this challenge daily, answering more than 30 billion healthcare queries on an annual basis.

In this webinar, Google Healthcare Analytic Lead Meghna Danton will share an overview of Google's experience around healthcare-related activities online and  provide a hands-on demonstration of free analytics tools that examine internet user activities, survey social sentiment, and correlate real events with web behavior. These tools, including Google Trends, Google Correlate, Google Brand Impressions, and Our Mobile Planet, can be employed to yield insights on topics such as:
- How are your customers and stakeholders searching online for healthcare information?
- What does the “patient pathway” look like for specific healthcare conditions?
- What meaningful seasonal and geographical patterns are evidenced in search behavior?
- What type of content are your customers or stakeholders looking for?
- What wide-scale or niche trends are there in social sentiment related to your product(s) and customer(s)?

Ms. Danton has extensive experience in online data analysis and contributed to the development of the Google analytics tools that will be demonstrated.

Learning objectives
1. Describe the online healthcare market landscape, including opportunities for customer and stakeholder engagement
2. Identify potential challenges and opportunities related to interpreting online data
3. Use analytics tools to enhance online data evaluation
