Evan Morris, vice president of government affairs at Genentech, will join HBA for an informal conversation regarding healthcare reform, the Affordable Care Act and its impact on upcoming elections, US budget woes and future legislative efforts.
In his current role, Mr. Morris oversees Genentech’s interaction with the U.S. Federal Government, State and Local Governments, Genentech’s Policy operations and all government reimbursement for Genentech’s products. Mr. Morris joined the pharmaceutical industry in 2005, heading up Roche's Washington, DC office and serving as Vice President for Federal Government Affairs and Public Policy. In 2008 Pharmaceutical Executive Magazine named Mr. Morris one of the top 45 pharmaceutical executives under the age of 45. Prior to joining Roche, Mr. Morris worked at Patton Boggs LLP, the largest public policy and advocacy law firm in Washington, DC and he served in Bill Clinton's administration.
