HBA OLD EUROPE PRESENTS

Soft Skills for the Future: Introduction to Design Thinking

Event details
For 2014, HBA chose to develop a series of event around the theme ‘the future’. The second event within this theme is ‘soft skills of the future: an approach to design thinking’ in collaboration with Insigniam and Thomson Reuters. Within an environment where recruiters become more and more demanding, it is now crucial for candidates to learn and develop their soft skills.

Design thinking is an approach based on empathy, curiosity, exploration and a willingness to go beyond first assumptions, to think newly about an issue or problem. This is a tool that helps understand the needs of others. Taking on a "design-thinking mindset" enables new ways of collaboration and co-creation, that can be applied both in personal and professional environments.

In this interactive session, we will explore together how design thinking can enhance your creativity and innovation skills: key skills for the future. In this session, Marie Caroline Chauvet (Insigniam), Guillaume Pajeot (Insigniam) and Daniel Ducharme (Insigniam) will give an introduction on the design thinking approach and then we will have some time to workshop and make it become a reality. Pauline Rambaud (Gensearch) will first provide an insight into the role of the headhunter in identifying the relevant hard and soft skills required by the employer through examples taken from typical recruitment assignments. In the second part, she will highlight soft skills which healthcare companies will mainly look for in the future.

As usual, we will end the session with a nice and informal networking cocktail. Presentations will be held in English.
