HBA MIAMI PRESENTS

End the Silence - Starting to Understand Mental Illness

In light of Parkland, HBA Miami wanted to host a town hall discussion on educating our membership and the Miami-Dade/Broward County community on ending the silence on understanding mental illness. Our expert panelist will be Judge Lerner-Wren sits on the bench of Broward County 17th Judicial Court. She speaks on problem-solving justice and mental health courts. Sandra Cumper, MS serves as the Executive Director of NAMI Broward County, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for millions of Americans affected by mental illness. Dr. Victoria Sanjuro, Senior Medical Liaison, Lundbeck pharmaceuticals holds an MD and PhD. Lundbeck is a pharmaceutical company engaged in the research and development, for the treatment of disorders in the central nervous system (CNS), including depression, schizophrenia, Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease.

Onsite (walk-in) registration: Is allowed
