Event details

“Senior executives describe mentors as instrumental in their own journeys to the top levels of their organizations through one-on-one coaching, networking support, and providing stretch opportunities critical to career growth.” (HBA E.D.G.E. Study, initiated in 2007)
-
“30 years of research has shown that having a mentor is the single, most important reason people succeed in their careers – more than hard work, talent and intelligence.” (HBA Mid-Atlantic chapter, mentoring program)
This highly interactive roundtable conversation with our panel of executives will show you the value of formal and informal mentoring relationships for your ongoing growth and advancement - whether you’re a new manager, individual contributor or C-suite executive.
Our executive panel will clearly outline how to initiate a mentoring relationship, describe how a mentor is different from an advocate, and explain the roles of a mentee and mentor. In addition, they will describe three key mentoring models and strategies that you can implement immediately.
The panel will also illustrate how to leverage your strengths and authentic style to facilitate risk taking, even during times of accelerated change and uncertainty, yielding higher performing and more innovative, engaged teams.
As a result, you’ll walk away with a strategic direction and road map of actionable steps to gain the experience, recognition, and visibility for more challenging and stretch opportunities through powerful mentoring relationships.
Learning objectives
