HBA GLOBAL PRESENTS

HBA WoC Pop-up Virtual Sister Circle - Honoring Victims of Police Brutality

The HBA Women of Color affinity group invites you to join our pop-up virtual sister circle to spontaneously share and connect with fellow members. These small gatherings offer a safe space for members to support each other in the spirit of sisterhood, self-care, and well-being.

During this sister circle, we will discuss the recent killing of Tyre Nichols, a 29-year old African American who died from injuries sustained during a traffic stop on January 7, 2023 in Memphis, Tennessee. Participants are open to share their reactions to this tragic event and their frustration on police brutality. Together, we stand in solidarity with the families and communities of innocent victims.

Trudy Bullard Buford, HBA WoC Southwest Regional Liaison, is an experienced sales and training professional in education, technology, automotive financing, nutrition and pharmaceutical/medical device industries. She found her calling, passion and purpose during her sales career as a result of her involvement and participation as a facilitator, moderator, panelist, strategist, trainer, and advocate for change. In her free time, Trudy co-hosts a Women's Prayer Call and a Sunday Ladies Coffee Chat to support a safe space for real talk and mental wellness while fostering a supportive community of sisterhood and connection.

This event will not be recorded to allow for participants to share openly.
