Virtual Book Club in HBA San Diego; Learning with the Prose: The Myth of the Nice Girl
HBA San Diego has initiated the virtual Book Club, Learning with the Prose. We all know that discussing what you’ve read with other intelligent folks can challenge your understanding, and help you make new connections, boost creativity, relieve stress, and create a social connection.
This second virtual book club is an opportunity to read "The Myth of the Nice Girl” by Fran Hauser. The “Myth of a Nice Girl” is a refreshing dose of forward-looking feminism that will resonate with smart, professional women who know what they want and are looking for real advice to take their career to the next level without losing themselves in the process.

Learning with the Prose book club will meet for two sessions:
August 25 and September 10, 2020
Session 1: Introductions/ground rules and then discussion of key concepts of the book- such as trust, negotiation and being a people-pleaser. Key questions to ponder will be sent to the group before we gather.
Session 2: A discussion of additional key messages. The author, Fran Hauser, will join us for 30 minutes to provide her inspiration for the generation of this book and her experiences about coaching around these significant topics.
We take care of the virtual link and facilitation; registrants are responsible for obtaining and reading the book. To optimize conversation, a small group of HBA members (not more than 10) will meet online via Zoom. Upon registration you will receive an email with login information for the book club meeting. At this time, Learning with the Prose book club is a free offering for HBA members.
