HBA OLD CHICAGO PRESENTS

Personalized Medicine

Event details
Today, personalized medicine is a healthcare strategy for many physicians and yet there are basic genetic differences in men, women, ethnicity that are often overlooked when identifying a disease.  When you incorporate the complexity of genetics into the disease state equation, the need for personalized medicine rises to the forefront. These are opportunities that can alter healthy outcomes and lives.

Medicines are prescribed by trial and error and a one-size-fits-all approach. However, not everyone responds to a drug the same way. While most people may respond to a particular drug and dose, many patients may have either very little effect or serious side effects from the same medication.

A panel discussion of experts who will offer their knowledge, discuss current trends on the topic and provide insights on the future of personalized medicine.
