HBA MILAN PRESENTS

HBA Milan Book Club - Overcoming Bias

What is bias? According to Cambridge dictionary: Bias: The action of supporting or opposing a particular person or thing in an unfair way, because of allowing personal opinions to influence your judgment.

We are all biased. We all tend to create unconscious assumptions towards different people, which can lead to miscommunication, confusion and tension between each other.
This book is full of vivid stories and practical exercises to help us reflect on our personal experiences and become more aware on the bias existing in us.

By becoming more self-aware and less judgmental will prevent us from awkward situations in the communication with people and help us build up truly authentic relationships with each other.

Let’s start our discussion based on the book and as well bring our own life experiences and examples encountering with bias. On bringing it to the surface is a good starting point for all of us towards becoming a better version of ourselves…
