HBA COLUMBUS PRESENTS

Best Practices for Gender Equity: A World Café Event

The past year has seen an explosion of interest in, and discussion about, gender equity. It could be argued that we are more aware of this than at any prior time in our history. But awareness alone isn’t enough. For real change to occur, individuals and organizations will need to behave differently. Most organizations have policies and guidelines regarding equitable treatment for women, yet real advancement, real salary equity, and real accountability for our stated goals, often remains elusive.

So how do we begin to create real action? We have invited healthcare leaders to facilitate conversation utilizing the World Café format, a methodology that drives solutions through conversational leadership. This event is positioned to add to what we learned at July’s Women in Healthcare Symposium and will set the stage for next year’s event.

Participants will engage in active small-group dialogue with senior healthcare leaders and leave with practical and implementable strategies to influence the current state of gender parity.
