HBA OLD OHIO PRESENTS

Girl Rising - A Global Campaign for Empowerment of Girls' Rights to an Education

“Girl Rising” is a global campaign for the empowerment of girls’ rights to an education. Why? Because a girl who completes basic education is three times less likely to contract HIV. Because a child born to a literate mother is 50% more likely to survive past the age of five. Because educating girls can break cycles of poverty in just one generation and help their communities thrive. And yet, millions of girls around the world face barriers to education.

The campaign seeks to raise awareness of critical issues and create a forum for discussion on ways we can collectively impact young women’s lives. We hope to enable young women around the world to become champions of their rights to learn and the necessity of receiving an education, especially in the healthcare industry. Following the film screening, a panel of industry leaders will lead a discussion on how you can make a difference in the local community and globally.

For every registration TSP, taylor strategy partners, has agreed to donate $5 to Girl Rising.
