HBA COLUMBUS PRESENTS

Facing my Feelings of Guilt - Enjoy Work, Play & Life

IMPORTANT: The Healthcare Businesswomen's Association (HBA) requires that all persons who participate in in-person events do so at their own risk and that each participant agrees to the following agreement prior to taking part in the activity and urges all participants to act in such a manner as to protect their own safety and the safety of others.

By registering for this event, I fully understand that my participation in the program is purely voluntary. I desire to participate and agree to act in a reasonable and prudent manner under the circumstances. I further understand that any HBA volunteers participating in the activity will be acting in an individual capacity only and will not represent the HBA. As a condition to my participation in the activity, I waive and release the HBA and their officers, employees, and agents from any claim that I may have for any damage to property or injury to my person that may result in whole or in part from my participation.

Join us in-person for an interactive learning and sharing experience. Marcia Miller will host a community discussion about guilt, how it works, its effects on us, and what we might be able to do to move into more effective reactions to the moments of our lives. Interspersed throughout the event will be specific, nurturing practices so that you’ll leave feeling refreshed with your nervous system balanced.

Marcia Miller, IAYT-Certified Yoga Therapist, E-RYT 500 Yoga Teacher and Trainer, is a lifelong yoga teacher and trainer of teachers. She created the yoga protocol for two research studies at The Ohio State University in which yoga reduced inflammatory markers and was beneficial to women recovering from breast cancer. In 2000 she co-founded Yoga on High and just recently sold it after 21 years of teaching and training people from all walks of life. Now, she is teaching as Marcia Miller Yoga and focusing on her passions in yoga: teaching caregivers how to support themselves and teaching people with trauma how to ease their symptoms, often the same populations. Another deep area of study and teaching for her is the nervous system and Polyvagal Theory. She is also a national senior trainer for an integrative therapy training called UZIT, which is already used in many of your hospital systems.
