HBA OLD FLORIDA PRESENTS

Managing Conflicts at Work

Event description
We’ve all had a co-worker who’s driven us nuts: a micromanaging boss, a suck-up colleague, a slacker employee. You might think your professional life would improve dramatically if they weren’t around. But they could actually be your ticket to dramatic professional growth. Anytime you find yourself up against somebody who frustrates you, it is usually because you don’t know how to deal with them.

Dealing effectively with internal customer - your co-workers and others inside your organization, including your boss - is just as important as dealing with external customers. Conflict at the office or in the field does occur, and learning how to cope with it is essential to maximizing your professional potential and career success.

Sheri Staak, author (Tune in to WOW Leadership), blogger (The STAAK Report), leader in the healthcare industry (over 30 years of experience with large pharma) will be joining us to talk about managing your way through challenging situations with difficult bosses or peers. Sheri has worked with and managed more than 1,300 sales representatives in highly aggressive and competitive marketplaces. She strives to maintain high levels of engagement with both individuals and management teams in challenging environments and marketplaces, aiming to embody and exemplify what she calls WOW leadership. Sheri is a peak performer in the industry as well as a devoted mentor to up-and-coming WOW leaders.
