HBA EUROPE REGION PRESENTS

RESCHEDULED: Health Literacy In Action: A Journey to Health Equity

Increasingly, stakeholders are recognizing the importance of health literacy in the context of patient-centricity. It is vital that patients and their families are equipped with the information and language that they need to be empowered to take an active role in decision-making that affects their health and treatment.

Laurie Myers, Global Health Literacy Director at Merck (MSD), will talk about her journey to date, her expertise in health literacy built over 10 years, and how she drives health literacy within a cross-functional organization.

How can health literacy be built into everyday operations? What are the core drivers of success? How are complex concepts such as health literacy and health disparity translated into tangible outputs?

Join our upcoming event and get answers to these and many other questions on the successful implementation of health literacy. The collaborative event will also include the opportunity for you to discuss in breakout groups an example of health literacy work and raise your questions and thoughts in a Q+A session, as well as a networking session.
