Leading as an Introvert
All too often, in our extroverted business cultures, introverts can feel excluded or misunderstood. A common misperception is that introverts do not make great leaders. But some of our greatest leaders, Abraham Lincoln, Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, are introverts. In fact, 40% of all executives describe themselves as introverts. Introverts understand and play to their strengths to become successful leaders. Introverted leaders are better listeners, have the ability to stay calm and focused under pressure, display humility to strengthen team bonds and exude quiet energy.
Join us to hear Maura Snow discuss the differences between extroverts and introverts, the unique skills that introverts bring to the table and how to strengthen these introverted competencies to improve leadership skills. Then, we will hear from a panel of leaders who identify as introverts as they discuss how they navigate today’s workplace and use their introverted proficiencies to be successful leaders.
