HBA NEW ENGLAND REGION PRESENTS

Career Transformations: Friday Food for Thought - Networking with Clarity and Confidence

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Whether we are looking for our next role, wanting to meet peers with similar interests, or seeking to learn about a new area, networking is critical. Too often, though, networking feels like something we “need to do” rather than “want to do.” If you want to shift your relationship with networking to feel clear about whom you want to meet with, what you’re asking for, and how to do it with confidence, this workshop is for you. Extroverts and introverts welcome!

WHAT WE’LL DO

We’ll dive into the Who, What, Where, When, Why, and How of networking. We’ll answer questions like, “Who else can I network with?” and “What am I really asking for from this person?” You’ll complete a Networking Flower Diagram to help you start identifying potential future connections. We’ll talk about what to say in your networking calls – how to frame the conversation, how to introduce yourself, and what your specific ask is. With this increased clarity, you’ll feel more confident, relaxed, and purposeful – and ready to expand your web of relationships.
