A Spotlight on Entrepreneurship

On 5 December, Shire HBA Ambassadors in collaboration with the HBA Zurich presents "A Spotlight on Entrepreneurship.”

Her Excellency, Dr Maryam Mater, founder and executive director of two non-profit civil associations, will speak on success factors in entrepreneurship. Dr. Matar has broken gender barriers as the first Emirati woman to bear the title of Undersecretary to the Minister of Health in 2006, and the first Emirati woman to hold the Director General in the Dubai government.

Dr Frank Grossmann, founder and executive director of Orphanhealthcare and CEO of Orphanbiotec, will also speak on successful entrepreneurship. He will show examples of the inspiring outcomes from successful partnerships. Dr. Grossman founded the first social impact pharmaceutical company, Orphanbiotec AG and received First Prize in 2011 for the International Social Entrepreneurship Initiative Startup Award.

A panel discussion moderated by Martina Muttke, Shire Medical Affairs Head, will follow.
