HBA NORTHERN NEW JERSEY PRESENTS

Brain Health Access: Closing the Gaps Through Digital Innovation

Digital accessibility is no longer simply a technology issue — it is a healthcare access issue. In brain health and neuropsychiatry, where cognitive, social, and socioeconomic barriers already exist, accessible digital experiences can determine whether a patient receives timely care, enrolls in a clinical trial, accesses support services, or stays on therapy.

As brain health care becomes increasingly digital, how do we ensure technology serves as a bridge rather than a barrier? From symptom checkers and self-assessments to patient portals and remote monitoring tools, digital solutions are reshaping how patients engage with care. Yet for individuals living with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and other neuropsychiatric conditions, cognitive, socioeconomic, and technological barriers can limit access and widen disparities. What responsibility do healthcare stakeholders — including pharma, advocacy groups, clinicians, and policymakers — have to ensure digital innovation improves equity, access, and patient outcomes?

Join us for a moderated panel and live Q&A examining real-world barriers to mental health care: access, affordability and coverage, care navigation, and digital accessibility. Panelists representing digital health, the patient and advocacy voice, and market access and policy will share practical perspectives on where the system falls short and what cross-sector partners can do to close the gaps.

The discussion is non-technical and patient-centered, designed for a broad audience: HBA members, BMS colleagues, patient advocates, caregivers, and anyone across healthcare interested in advancing health access in brain health. Expect candid conversation, external perspectives, and time to connect with peers working on the same challenges.
