HBA INDIANA PRESENTS

By the Book - Unconscious Bias

Event description
Join us for our second annual "by the book" panel event as we discuss unconscious bias and how it affects all of us in the workplace. We will explore the concept, and discuss the following books:
Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain
Hidden Bias: How Unconscious Attitudes on Diversity Undermine Organizations and What to Do About It by Gerald Holder
The Trophy Kids Grow Up: How the Millennial Generation is Shaking up the Workplace by Ron Alsop and hear from the panel their personal stories and perspectives on the subject

In the panel we will have:
Angela Freeman, intellectual property associate at Barnes & Thornburg
Monica Poindexter, head of diversity and inclusion (D&I) at Roche
Anne White, vice president of portfolio management at Eli Lilly and Company

Jessica Betts, clinical chemistry support leader at Roche will moderate the event.

Learning objectives
