HBA GLOBAL PRESENTS

2023 HBA Building Better Business Connections (3BC)

Inspiring Change from the C-Suite through Advocacy

Becoming an advocate for gender equity creates opportunities to form inclusive teams at all levels of the organization so companies are better equipped to advance health equity efforts. Advocacy also fosters a company culture of belonging that empowers all employees to thrive and ultimately contributes to the company’s success. This year’s 3BC will highlight executive leaders in the healthcare industry who are powering efforts to advance women and subsequently positioning their companies to make meaningful progress toward health equity. They will share insights on their approaches to the bold initiatives they champion and will challenge other executives to explore how they can make an impact in their various circles of influence and, more importantly, act on these ideas. Executives will have moments to reflect on the possibilities, in addition to opportunities to network and exchange ideas with other industry leaders.

Event Objectives:
• Share data that makes the business case for advancing women at all levels, with specific focus on inclusion at the highest levels of decision making, and how this can impact health equity efforts for company success.
• Explore the roles that executives can play in creating environments that support gender equity.
• Expose executives to best and promising practices from their peers.
• Provide opportunities for group reflection and action planning.

Learning Outcomes:
As a result of participating in this event, executives will be able to…
• Draw from the data to make the case for the advancement of women at their companies for impact on health equity initiatives and company success.
• Apply insights from best and promising practices and group reflection sessions to champion gender equity.
• Connect with colleagues inside and outside their organizations for support and collaboration.
