HBA WEST CHESTER PRESENTS

Growth Through Innovation: Creativity Lab

This presentation offers a highly interactive approach to define, practice and apply innovative thinking. Participants will experience innovative thinking during an engaging timed team event, review their team experience from the perspective of what enhanced and got in their way of being innovative.

During this timed event, participants will be in teams, solving a problem, brainstorming, making mini-decisions, and having fun.

After completing the timed event, declaring a winning team, participants review a summary from recent research on the Top Personality Traits for Innovators. One of the biggest barriers to innovation is the fear of failure. We will explore excusable and inexcusable failures, what managers can do to overcome this barrier and become failure tolerant managers. Participants review 5 ways they can create a culture of innovation in their workplace.

Attendees leave with new insights into what it takes to get small groups to be innovative and creative.
