HBA BOSTON-CAMBRIDGE METRO PRESENTS

Lunch and Learn: 2016 HBA Boston Mentoring Program

Event description
Mentoring is quickly becoming one of the most used approaches to developing employee skills. You are invited to learn about the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) Boston chapter's mentoring program, entering its 11th year in 2016, which has built a community of over 800 women who work together to address challenges in their careers today, set career goals for tomorrow and take real steps to make them happen.

Please join us for a “bring your own brown bag lunch and learn” on November 5, 2015 from 12:00noon to 1:00pm at the Microsoft NERD Center in Cambridge (Deborah Sampson and Thomas Paul rooms) for an introduction to the 2016 HBA Boston chatper mentoring program. During our introduction, you will learn how you can get involved and sample our group approach to mentoring. We want mentors, volunteers and of course mentees.

There are many benefits of being involved – here are a few:
1. Self-awareness regarding current status: strengths, areas you’d like to develop, skills needed and potential.
2. Career growth by setting goals, creating a personal brand, increasing visibility inside your organization and effectively networking.
3. Amplified learning agility through mentoring circles - peer coaching and feedback, developing resiliency in dealing with complexity and uncertainty.
4. Implementing your action plan; garnering support from various stakeholders.
5. Enduring relationships and friendships.
6. Having fun.

Can’t attend the November 5 lunch and learn? Learn more here as we are accepting applications for 2016 mentors and mentees now through January 31, 2016. Mentees: be sure to take advantage of the early bird mentee program fee by completing your application survey by December 31, 2015.

Come to learn more about the program, opportunities and your involvement on November 5. Be sure to register on or before November 2, 2015 and bring a government issued photo ID for building security purposes.
