Event description
Organizations and their leaders are facing a new business landscape defined by volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity (VUCA). This environment requires leaders to be truly strategic - women and men at all levels in the organization. The reality is that many organizations face major skills gaps when it comes to strategic thinking. This program explores the 6 elements that individuals should be developing to think and act more strategically: anticipating, challenging, interpreting, deciding, aligning, and learning. Regardless of whether you are a senior leader or just starting off in your career, the program will focus on what we can do to be more strategic, what stops us from being strategic, stories of others that do it well or poorly, and some advice/tools to develop each of those elements.
Learning objectives
1. Identify the ideal skills/mindset necessary for strategic thinking and leadership
2. Connect to real world business examples of poor and strong strategic thinking to better relate the concepts to your role and life
3. Know how to recognize the warning signs of poor strategic thinking and the ways to strengthen your strategic aptitude
