HBA INDIANA PRESENTS

Thinking and Positioning Yourself For Influence

Event description
Your professional presence - and your influence - is a function of style, substance and character.
People often describe a leader with professional presence as having a "vibe". They exude control and polish, showing up as poised under pressure, deliberate with purposeful body language. They are appropriately assertive, approachable and humble.

Ellen’s executive presence programs (otherwise known as, “professional presence programs”) demystify the “vibe” that leaders with professional presence exude, and provide practical steps and resources to guide those wanting to develop their confident and competent image. Her coaching in public speaking and professional communication skills shows established and emerging leaders how to say what they need or want to say, while looking and feeling their confident and influential best. Her leadership programs in accountability, alignment, difficult conversations and other complex leadership skills have helped leaders expand their influence.
Ellen and her team are known for their practical “how to” style. Ellen will demonstrate techniques in style, substance and character to build your influence. She will also show how to determine which of several techniques will help you portray confidence, as well as believability and the image-detracting behaviors you must stop. You will also learn how to master your anxiety before important conversations or presentations and how to grow your influence and persuasion with colleagues and VIPs.

Learning objectives
1. Use learned techniques to build your influence
2. Determine which techniques portray confidence
3. Master anxiety before important conversations or presentations
