HBA BOSTON-CAMBRIDGE METRO PRESENTS

CANCELLED: Nutrition for Wellness & Performance: Virtual Cook-along

Join the New England Fit to Lead Affinity Group for a virtual cook-along with Chef Eliza Martin, a Food Network 2020 Chopped Champion, and Dr Lisa Vislocky, founder of NYC-based LiVe Nutrition.

Nutrition is not only important for your health and wellness, but for achieving your career and fitness goals too.

Create a simple, flavorful, and nutritious meal and mocktail that is quick enough to prepare on a weeknight and will delight your taste buds!

Chef Eliza Martin’s culinary adventures began in NYC at the Institute of Culinary Education. She worked at the Rachael Ray Show, Saveur magazine, and renowned restaurants and catering companies. She was the first to earn the premiere spot in the James Beard Foundation’s Women in Culinary Leadership Program, traveling to Chicago. Chef Eliza later moved to California, working as Executive Chef of an Italian restaurant. She fell in love with teaching the joy of cooking while working at a children’s culinary school. In early 2020, Chef Eliza competed and won a championship on the Food Network’s show, Chopped.

Dr Lisa Vislocky has a PhD in nutrition from the University of Connecticut, with a focus in exercise physiology, and is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. She works full-time in oncology within Medical Affairs at Bristol-Myers Squibb and worked previously for Celgene Corporation. Her part-time NYC- based practice, LiVe Nutrition, grew out of her passion for sports, her fascination with the science of nutrition, and her love of overall wellness. Dr Vislocky’s client work focuses on general health and wellness, cardiovascular health, healthy aging, and sports performance.

Expand your culinary and nutrition knowledge with Chef Eliza and Dr Vislocky. This virtual cook-along, held in the comfort of your own kitchen, will feature an interactive class, filled with delicious culinary tips and nutrition tidbits…and will be sprinkled with laughter and garnished with fun!
