HBA ORANGE COUNTY PRESENTS

HBA Orange County's Virtual Book Club Series: The Power of Perception

3-Part Book Club Series with HBA Orange County – “The Power of Perception”

HBA OC’s virtual book club is back! Join empowering conversations through discussing the best-selling book, The Power of Perception: Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, and the Gender Divide with the author—Dr. Shawn Andrews. Shawn also serves as professor of “Women & Leadership” at UC Irvine, an organizational consultant, and President of the HBA Orange County chapter.

The Power of Perception serves as a practical guide to educate women, men and organizations on the barriers that keep women from fully contributing in the workplace. Topics include differences in leadership style and emotional intelligence, gender bias and stereotypes, breadwinner and caregiver responsibilities, and differences in gender culture. We will also explore significant changes in global demographic trends and how our youngest generations are impacting the workplace.

Let’s start 2023 off right, challenge your perceptions, empower yourself and your communities. Discuss what you’ve read with other intelligent folks to expand your knowledge and social connection.

This educational series is open to both HBA members and non-members. Registration is limited, so sign up early for your chance to join a book club with the author!
