Webinar: Career Conversation 12 - Raising Your Leadership Voice

Please note this webinar will take place from 12:00 to 1:15 PM ET. Please convert into your local time zone and mark your calendar accordingly.

Webinar description
Every female leader needs to have an authentic, strong leadership voice to ensure success in any conversation. In this interactive session, you will take away actionable tips, tools and examples on how to develop, build and embrace your own vision and voice that will be the ignition to catapult your career.

Leadership comes in many forms and with a variety of voices. But to succeed, female business leaders must figure out how they want to communicate their vision and leadership approach. Finding and raising your leadership voice is just the beginning. Once you have effectively created your authentic voice, you will be able to use that style of communication, that way of communicating and engaging in difficult business relationships and situations to be a powerful influence, drive change and have positive impact.

In this engaging session, you will learn:
     • how to find your true leadership voice and why you need to raise it
     • how you integrate your voice into your current professional life
     • what questions you need to ask yourself to determine your authentic voice
     • what are the observations you need to make
     • why does it matter?

The HBA is pleased to welcome Rachel Braun Scherl to the Career Conversations webinar series. Rachel is the managing partner at Spark Solutions for Growth, a consulting practice in the pharma space, global speaker and writer on "Finding Your Leadership Voice" who shares her real life client examples of how she used her leadership voice to break barriers and raise capital for successful ventures in the female health space. Through humor and observations, Rachel shares proven tools to build, challenge and expand one's approach to business. Rachel writes for The Huffington Post magazine and other publications on the subject of female leadership.

Providing an executive lens to this discussion is Shannon Resetich, global franchise head, hematology at Shire. Shannon will share her corporate experience and personal story of growing into a leadership position at major pharma companies. She will share her achievements in building and using her own powerful leadership voice to increase her influence and impact, as well as to advance her career.

Moderating this conversation is Laurie Wessels, president of the Wessels Group. Ms. Wessels is a leader development coach, consultant and trainer. She works with executives, teams and emerging leaders blending strategic planning and decision making, and leadership behaviors to enhance organizational effectiveness and sustainable leadership. Prior to coaching, she spent 15 years in the pharmaceutical industry. She is a past president of HBA Chicago and a member of the HBA Career Conversations team.
