Description
Have you wondered why individuals with similar expertise, experience and credentials can have very different outcomes when it comes to leadership success? This webinar explores one of the reasons for this difference: social capital. Generated through social interactions and stored in relationships, social capital encompasses three interrelated assets: social networks, trust, and the “hidden rules of the game.”

Research shows that those with deeper and richer stocks of social capital achieve greater success; in addition, there is a strong link between social capital and emotional and physical well being. In this webinar, you will learn how to start building your social capital stockpile using small actions that align with your mission and personality. You will also learn about behaviors that create, preserve and destroy this fragile currency.

Lower stocks of social capital contribute to some unique challenges that women face in their leadership journey.  Apply a social capital lens to recognize and reframe choices that can generate, leverage and mobilize this important currency.

Objectives
1. Define social capital and its importance to personal/professional success
2. Apply a social capital lens to reframe situations/choices that influence social capital generation
3. Develop a balanced social capital portfolio action plan aligned with one’s life stage and definition of success
