HBA OLD METRO AREA PRESENTS

Thriving in Consolidated Corporate Cultures

Event details
Mergers, acquisitions and consolidations are all too common in the healthcare industry. These can bring opportunities and challenges and managing through them can be daunting. Learning how to succeed, contribute, and excel when multiple cultures merge is critical. Change is inevitable and not within our control, however, we can control how we respond to change.

An expert panel will be sharing insights about mergers, acquisitions and consolidations based on their own experiences. The panelists will impart their wisdom and will provide you with tools to weather uncertainty and identify opportunities. The panelists have endured multiple mergers and acquisitions and will bring a human face to the process. Our distinguished panelists are:

• Carolyn Buck-Luce, co-founder and executive-in-residence, Center for Talent Innovation, 2012 HBA Woman of the Year (Moderator)
• Lyn Baranowski, senior vice president, corporate development and strategy, Melinta Therapeutics, Inc.
• Julie Kampf, CEO, president and founder, JBK Associates International, Inc.
• Jessica Kuzmick, deputy director, neurology marketing, Bayer HealthCare

Learning objectives
1. Identify the challenges and opportunities that come with a consolidation
2. Adapt to impending changes, both as an employee and as a leader
3. Develop an opportunity outlook and move toward the future after the consolidation
