HBA SAN DIEGO PRESENTS

Learning with the Prose: San Diego Chapter Book Club

HBA San Diego has initiated a virtual Book Club, Learning with the Prose. No matter what your age, reading helps keep your brain sharp. Discussing what you’ve read with other intelligent folks can challenge your understanding, and help you make new connections, boost creativity, relieve stress, and create a social connection.

This virtual book club is an opportunity to read "Everest: Being Unstoppable” and then explore it further with a small group of HBA members (not more than 12) who will meet online via Zoom.

More about the book: Being Unstoppable is the first book in the 7 Summits to Success series. It is a story of one man's journey to accomplishing what was once thought impossible. Sean Swarner overcame two different cancers to make his dream of climbing Mt. Everest (with one lung), the highest mountain in the world, a reality.

In addition to sharing his story with the world, Sean shares the guiding principles that made his own dreams a reality. Being Unstoppable begins with Sean's story of survival, adventure, and cliff-hanging suspense. It concludes with a section containing simple, practical steps anyone can use to fulfill their own dreams and goals. Sean teaches how he managed to make the impossible possible and how to incorporate those same simple but powerful steps into climbing one's own Everest.

This book club will meet August 12, 2021, 5- 6 pm pacific time.

We take care of the virtual link and facilitation; registrants are responsible for obtaining and reading the book. Upon registration you will receive an email with login information for the book club meeting. At this time, Learning with the Prose book club from the San Diego HBA Chapter is a free offering for HBA members.
