HBA SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA AND HBA SEATTLE PRESENTS

Digital therapeutics for better mental health and disease management (Episode 5.0:Healthtech Series)

HBA San Francisco Bay and Seattle have teamed up to launch a series of lightning discussions to understand the future of healthcare in correlation with technology. Join us for these interactive conversations with trailblazing women who are ushering a new era of healthtech. As part of this series, Jenna Carl will speak to role of digital delivery of personalized interventions for mental health care. Jenna will also share her perspective on importance of ensuring underserved populations have equal access to the digital health tools. Shravya Kidambi Gupta will speak to continuous remote care as a new paradigm to address chronic diseases such as Diabetes.

Dr. Jenna Carl is a clinical psychologist who specializes in the research and treatment of anxiety, depression, insomnia, and related disorders in adults. She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, and has presented her research and clinical trainings at leading national and international conferences, such as the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, World Congress for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, and the American Psychological Association (APA). She currently serves Chair of the APA’s Division 12 Presidential Task Force for integration of technology and treatment.

As the VP of Clinical Development & Medical Affairs for Big Health, Dr. Carl is responsible for developing evidence-based digital therapeutics for common mental health conditions that can be implemented within large employers and health systems. She obtained her PhD in clinical psychology from Boston University, with training in the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders at Boston University, Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, and the VA Health System’s National Center for Innovation to Implementation.

Shravya Kidambi Gupta is Chief of Staff at Virta Health. Prior to Virta Health, Shravya was Senior Director of Solutions & Customer Marketing at Box, leading the first of its kind Solutions Marketing function. Sharvya believes, it’s not just the results that matter, but more so the process in achieving them. For Shravya, the “how” is equally if not more important than the outcome. This line of thinking has allowed her to constantly thrive amongst a sea of ambiguity.
