HBA OLD GREATER PHILADELPHIA PRESENTS

Executive Women’s Breakfast: Women, Wealth and Wisdom

This event is for members who are directors and above or principals of their own business.

Event description
Panelists Pat Dunn, Nikki Johnson-Huston and Barbara Taylor team up to provide a wide-ranging program for professional women, taking a deep look at how women build confidence and courage, which then translates into skills for building successful careers and finally empowers us to make smart financial decisions.

From homeless to attorney - Nikki Johnson-Huston, Esq.
Nikki shares with us her journey from her childhood of being homeless to becoming a successful tax attorney. She does this with incredible insight, humor and lessons learned. Nikki’s story is inspirational and tackles issues that many professionals haven’t faced. Her key message is that with determination, hard work and at times, a bit of luck, we can accomplish so much more than we originally set out to do.

The career pickle: how to build your career with relish without derailing
Barbara Taylor, partner, JanBara and Associates, turning talent into high performance
Barbara’s interactive presentation is designed to help professional women maximize their potential, leading to higher performance and even to promotion – in spite of tough economic times. Additionally, Barbara will show you how to sidestep career “stallers”, “stoppers” and “derailers” that can negatively impact and plateau your career. Barbara uses stories and handouts so we can look at ourselves objectively and begin to think about our work experiences perhaps from a different angle.

Reaching your goals: empowering women to make smart financial decisions
Patricia Dunn, senior vice president, wealth management, Merrill Lynch
Pat leads a wealth management team who believes that decisions women make about their money affect their lives and the lives of the next generation. Pat’s approach to wealth management respects this connection between her clients’ lives, finances and peace-of-mind. Her interactive presentation will show you how to identify your essential need, important wants and aspirational dreams. You will learn how to increase our financial awareness by changing the conversation. Pat knows firsthand that when return-on-investment is measured in progress towards your family and life goals, then you experience a new level of confidence, sheltered from the sensationalism of all the investment hype.
