HBA OLD METRO AREA PRESENTS

Webinar - STEM Careers Are in High Demand: Make the Most of Your Scientific Career

Webinar description
Science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) careers are a unique path - from their talent profile to their job descriptions. STEM professionals have some of the most specific educational and experiential requirements. All too often, STEM professionals have more hesitancy toward career planning and are less likely to reach out to people that can help further their career.  How do you market yourself to build and grow your career?

When it comes to reaching your career goals, you’ve heard the saying “it’s not what you know, it’s who you know.” The truth is, it’s “what you know, who you know, who knows you and what they say about you” that drives your career. The goals you set, the relationships you build and your willingness to take action on your own behalf directly impacts where you go in your career.

This Metro chapter webinar will cover how networking and marketing yourself can create career opportunities and show you can compete. You need more than your STEM knowledge, related skill sets and training to advance your career. How can you stand out against others in the STEM disciplines and get people’s attention? You can make the difference and shape your future by clearly articulating your goals, setting an action plan and building your network.

Webinar speaker, Julie Bauke calls herself the chief career happiness officer of The Bauke Group. Her business focuses on educating and inspiring individuals in building the career of their dreams. She is a dynamic and highly interactive speaker, trainer and coach with a passion for educating and inspiring individuals to take charge of their career. Julie has been widely quoted in national publications, been featured on numerous radio shows and is the Careers and Jobs Expert on Cincinnati’s Fox19 TV (Raycom Media), 700WLW Radio (Clear Channel) and the host of “Get Career Happy with Julie Bauke” on iHeartradio.
