HBA BOSTON-CAMBRIDGE METRO PRESENTS

CANCELLED: Rising Above Cancer: How women break barriers

Join HBA Women in Science (WIS) of New England for an exciting panel discussion in partnership with the American Cancer Society (ACS), where we will explore challenges and opportunities facing women scientists and ways to break barriers that are impeding advancement of women. HBA WIS and ACS want to change that! An ACS initiative called ResearcHERS brings together influential female leaders to sustain women-led cancer research, bolstering the careers of women researchers and a more robust pipeline of female leaders.

You will get the chance to hear diverse perspectives, experiences and insights from our panel of successful female oncology researchers. They will share how they shaped their own career paths as academic investigators, medical professionals and entrepreneurs as well as how they managed various roadblocks and seized opportunities along the way.

Following the moderated panel, event attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and share their experiences with our panelists.

We welcome all voices, including our male allies, to join us in this important discussion and to support underrepresented women researchers who are making invaluable contributions in both cancer research and leadership. Let’s attack cancer from all directions!
