HBA SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA PRESENTS

An evening of “real talk” with Bonnie St. John – how great women get ahead

Event Details
HBA SoCal is proud to present a signature event sponsored by Amgen and Medtronic: an evening of “real talk” with Bonnie St. John – how great women get ahead.

Join HBA SoCal chapter for a special evening of “straight talk” about what really gets women ahead in business with Olympic medalist, best-selling author and leadership consultant, Bonnie St. John.

Data shows that having a sponsor is the single most important asset future leaders need to move their careers forward. As part of this interactive evening, Bonnie will guide a discussion that will help answer these key questions:
• How do you get the right sponsors to move your career forward? Hear what kind of sponsors you need and how to recruit them.
• Are you ready to be sponsored? Learn how you can prepare to be sponsored and develop a personal brand that makes sponsorship possible.

Throughout the evening, Bonnie will offer her unique perspective on resilience, determination and personal leadership.

About Bonnie St. John:

Despite having her right leg amputated at age five, Bonnie St. John became the first African-American ever to win medals in Winter Olympic competition.  Bonnie took home three medals in downhill events in the 1984 Paralympics, went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University, and earned a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford.

After returning to the U.S., Bonnie began her business career at IBM, where she was an award-winning sales representative.  Later, Bonnie was appointed by President Bill Clinton as a director for human capital policy on the White House national economic council.

Today, Bonnie travels the globe speaking, leading corporate seminars for Fortune 500 executives, and researching her various writing projects. She is the author of six books, and co-authored her most recent #1 bestseller "How Great Women Lead" with her teenage daughter, Darcy.
