Event description
Within the US and globally, women are often the main healthcare decision maker or chief medical officer (CMO) for their families, which lends them to being a key driver of public health improvement. Women make approximately 80 percent of healthcare decisions for their families and are more likely to be the care givers when a family member falls ill.
Investing in the health of women can dramatically transform the health of those around them, as they in turn become the local champion working to improve the health in their community. Today, between 65% and 85% of health workers are women.
Join our esteemed panel who will share specific examples and outcomes of programs geared to improving the health of women. They will also discuss how such programs empower women to be champions of their community’s health and development. Additionally, our panelists will give an overview of how public health is evolving globally and what individuals and/or organizations can do to create a positive impact.

1. Walk away with deeper understanding of how global health is evolving and innovating
2. Generate ideas on how they can further their impact on global health within their organizations
